Ivy Raises €7M in Seed Funding

Ivy, a Berlin, and Munich, Germany-based provider of a global API for instant bank payments, recently raised €7M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Creandum with participation from 10xFounders, Angel Invest, and angels including Jeppe Rindom, Daniel Krauss, Jochen Engert, André Schwämmlein, Oliver Merkel, Christian Grobe, Matthias Knecht, Martin Blessing, and Nico Rosberg.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Co-founded by Ferdinand Dabitz, Joshua Becker, Simon Wimmer, Peter Lieck, Ivy is a global API for instant bank payments. The fintech enables customers to transfer funds directly from their bank accounts to merchants, eliminating the need for credit cards and reducing transaction fees.

Ivy has partnerships with non-profits, enabling merchants to deliver green rewards to their customers, essentially letting cards & wallets pay for climate action.

The technology is already connected to over 500 million bank accounts wordwide.
