Irreverent Labs, a Bellevue, WA-based AI company developing technology for video entertainment from AI, received an investment from Samsung Next.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to launch its video foundation model later this year.
Founded by Rahul Sood and David Raskino, Irreverent Labs is an AI company developing technology to make it possible for anyone to generate quality video entertainment. With a research team led by Dr. Patrice Simard, it has been building its own AI models to generate entertainment with 3D understanding since its founding in late 2021. Its video foundation model translates prompts into 3D videos – employing a hybrid approach that combines novel video analysis, synthesis and entropy models to create cohesive and realistic videos that achieve high level of fidelity and control.
The company will be releasing a non-commercial preview of its new model this year ahead of making its API available to developers around the world.
