Hugging Face, a NYC and Paris, France-based open-source AI platform, raised $235M in series D funding, which brought its valuation to $4.5 billion.
The round was led by Salesforce Ventures, with participation from Amazon, Google, Nvidia, IBM, Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and Sound Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate technology innovation.
Hugging Face provides an open-source and open science artificial intelligence platform for developers to share models, data, and code. Its online hub is used by professional to find and use AI models, datasets, and code. The platform hosts 500,000 models and 250,000 datasets.
Hugging Face has signed partnerships with its investors including Nvidia, AWS, and IBM.
