Halodoc Closes $100M Series D Funding Round

Halodoc, a Jakarta, Indonesia-based digital healthcare ecosystem platform, completed a Series D funding round.

According to reports, the amount of the deal was USD100M. The round was led by PT Astra International Tbk through its subsidiary, PT Astra Digital Internasional, with participation from Openspace and Novo Holdings.  

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as its range of services.

Led by CEO & Co-Founder Jonathan Sudharta, Halodoc provides a digital healthcare ecosystem platform committed to promoting wellness through services (ranging from preventive to curative) offered within an all-in-one application. In addition to its efforts to enhance digital health literacy among the Indonesian through health communication, education, and information, Halodoc also continues to develop and expand services, with: 1) Home Lab – a preventive healthcare service that enables users to safely and conveniently carry out health tests from the comfort of their homes. 2) My Insurance – integrated with leading insurance partners, allowing users to access the benefits of cashless outpatient services in a more easy and seamless manner.

Halodoc is also working closely with the government, to accelerate technological advancement in the healthcare industry, including through the initiation of telehealth regulation as outlined in the Ministry of Health (MoH) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Early investors in the company include Acrew Capital, Argor (previously Go-Ventures), Allianz X, Bangkok Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, HEAL Partners, Intudo Ventures, Korea Investment Partners, Prudential, TMI (Telkomsel venture arm), Singtel Innov8, UOB Venture Management, Uni-President, Global Investama Andalan, and InvestIdea.
