Basys.ai, a Cambridge, MA-based healthtech startup, raised $2.4m in pre-seed funding.
The round was led by Nina Capital with participation from Eli Lilly’s Lilly Ventures, Mayo Clinic, Two Lanterns Venture Partners, Asset Management Ventures, and Chaac Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by Amber Nigam, CEO, and Jie Sun, Basys.ai provides a platform for optimizing financial distribution for payers / health plans through prior authorization and utilization management. The startup is now initiating pilots with two payers in Massachusetts and Minnesota.
