Vertex Holdings, Singapore’s state investor Temasek Holdings’ corporate venture capital arm, raised over $900m in the first close of its latest fund.
The fund’s fundraising target of $1 billion is slated to be reached in the coming months.
Led by CEO Chua Kee Lock, Vertex Holdings is a venture capital investment holding company that provides anchor funding and operational support to a proprietary global network of venture capital funds. Currently, there are six funds in the network, namely Vertex Ventures China, Vertex Ventures Israel, Vertex Ventures SEA & India, Vertex Ventures US, Vertex Ventures HC and Vertex Growth.
Each Vertex fund operates independently, with separate local teams that raise and manage their respective funds.
The firm leverages the combined experience and resources of its extensive network of global partners enable portfolio companies to realize their full potential. As of the end of March 2023, Vertex had a portfolio of over 300 companies globally.
