Terabase Energy Raises $25M in Funding

Terabase Energy, a Berkeley, CA-based provider of digital and automation solutions for solar power plants, raised $25M in funding.

The round was led by Fifth Wall with participation from Prelude Ventures, SJF Ventures, and EDP Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to support the commercial scale-up of its recently launched Terafab™ construction automation system.

Led by CEO Matt Campbell, Terabase Energy aims to reduce the cost and accelerate the deployment of utility-scale solar through construction automation and software. Its platform enables rapid deployment of solar plants at competitive costs, supporting both grid-connected PV plants and the cost-effective production of green hydrogen with PV in the future. Its suite of products includes:

  • PlantPredict, a cloud-based solar plant design and energy modeling tool,
  • Construct, a digital construction management software platform, and,
  • Terafab construction automation, and power plant control and SCADA solutions.
