Reyedar Raises €3M in Seed Funding

Reyedar

Reyedar (fka Reperio Medtech), a Groningen, The Netherlands-based medtech startup, raised €3m in seed funding.

The round was led by Cottonwood Technology Fund with the participation of NV NOM, Pupil Labs, UNETI Labs, and the follow-up of its first investors Blue Sparrows MedTech Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations to continue to develop its screening technology.

Led by Dr. Alessandro Grillini, founder and CEO, Reyedar is a medtech startup that combines eye tracking and A.I. to provide visual and degenerative disease diagnostic tools. Reyedar collects biomarkers of people’s visual and neurological health. Eye movements are controlled by a complex network of ocular and brain structures. Subtle alterations in eye movement behavior can indicate the presence of underlying medical conditions.

The company is a spin-out of the Ophthalmology Department of the University Medical Center Groningen.
