Private investor Rcapital completed the acquisition of Bromley, Greater London, UK-based lift maintenance company Temple Lifts Ltd. from Hitachi, Ltd.
Led by Mark Jones, Ashley Greensmith and Mark Kane, Temple employs a team of installation, maintenance, and modernisation specialists. The team looks after a wide range and age of manufactured lifts installed in buildings, from two-storey care homes to high-rise, high-density commercial and residential blocks, as well as maintaining and modernising escalators, to ensure safe and reliable passenger movement.
The company also operates from Havant and Stoke on Trent, providing services nationwide. It has approximately 5,000 lifts and escalators under maintenance contracts, supporting customers across multiple sectors.
It has been sold by Hitachi which acquired the business in 2017. Rcapital will partner with the current management team to deliver a growth plan and build a stable business. The firm has also introduced senior sector expertise from the industry to help accelerate growth and drive operational improvements.
