Proprio Raises $43M in Series B Funding

Proprio

Proprio, a Seattle, WA-based surgical technology company, raised $43m in Series B funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization for its AI-driven surgical navigation platform in the US and overseas.

Led by Gabriel Jones, CEO, Proprio has developed its flagship surgical navigation platform, Paradigm™, which leverages light field technology and artificial intelligence to generate a real-time 3D visualization of surgery. Paradigm provides surgeons with Volumetric Intelligence™, which combines medical images with live data from the company’s sensor suite. The product achieved a significant milestone this year by obtaining 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Paradigm system eliminates the need for intraoperative scans, reducing radiation exposure to the patient and surgical staff.
