Applitools, a San Mateo, CA-based provider of AI-powered test automation tools, acquired Preflight, a Palatine, IL-based test automation platform specializing in low-code test automation.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Applitools will expand its platform and strengthen its position as a testing platform adding AI to key parts of the testing lifecycle. This includes full support for authoring tests through Preflight low-code solution, as well as tests created with open-source frameworks like Selenium, Playwright or Cypress – enabling users to inject AI to their testing process, regardless of their team’s skill set. Customers will now benefit from enhanced AI-driven test authoring, execution, and analysis capabilities.
