Vertex Ventures HC, a San Francisco, CA- and Boston, MA-based women-led global healthcare investment firm, has launched its third fund of $200m.
Fund III will be deployed to support and empower life sciences and medical technology companies aiming to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.
Anchored by a diversified investment strategy and led by Managing Directors Lori Hu and Christine Brennan, Vertex Ventures HC is a healthcare venture capital firm funded by Vertex Holdings, a Singaporean-based holding company that provides anchor funding and support to a global network of venture funds investing in healthcare and technology across the US, Israel, China and South Asia. Established in 2014, VVHC has $550M assets under management and has invested in more than 25 portfolio companies to bring transformative therapies and healthcare technologies to patients, including nearly 20 clinical-stage assets and three products cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
