NewHaptics, an Ann Arbor, MI-based tactile display technology company, raised growth funding from Accelerate Blue Fund.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of an its display.
Led by Alex Russomanno, NewHaptics aims to improve the lives of people who are blind by enabling digital interaction using the sense of touch. To this end, the company is advancing a refreshable braille and tactile graphics display. It leverages novel technology aimed at enabling increased access to braille in digital form and allowing blind people to interact with spatial content through digital formats.
