Hungry, a Washington, DC-based food-tech marketplace, raised $10M in Series C1 funding.
Backers included Anfernee Simons, Bobby Wagner, Roquon Smith, Laremy Tunsil, Robert G. Hisaoka, Sands Capital Ventures, Motley Fool Ventures, Evolution VC Partners, GP Ventures, Tom Colicchio, Ming Tsai, Dan Simons, and Eric Kessler.
The company, which is now valued at $270m, intends to use the funds for continued growth and full operational profitability.
Founded in 2017 by entrepreneurs Eman Pahlavani, Shy Pahlevani and Jeff Grass, Hungry is a food-tech marketplace that provides business food solutions as well as live and virtual experiences from local chefs and restaurants. In addition to Washington, the company has operations in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, Oakland, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and San Jose.
Hungry recently acquired snacks brand NatureBox.
