Guardian Agriculture, a Woburn, MA-based developer of electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) systems for commercial-scale sustainable farming, raised $20M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Fall Line Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate production and expand commercial operations to farms nationwide.

Led by Founder and CEO Adam Bercu, Guardian provides the Guardian SC1 platform, an autonomous, electric and aerial crop protection system designed specifically for large-scale agriculture. The company will begin commercial operations in support of its Wilbur-Ellis customer in California this summer. It already has more than $100 million in customer orders.

Guardian, which designs and manufactures its system entirely within the U.S., was founded in 2017 and has offices in Massachusetts and California.
