SharpenCX Acquires Webtext

SharpenCX, an Indianapolis, IN-based provider of an unified contact center platform, acquired Webtext, a Galway, Ireland-based provider of an omnichannel messaging solution.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition SharpenCX will bring its mission to empower agent and customer experiences to on-premises contact centers, allowing rapid digital transformation supporting messaging, webchat and social channels.

Founded in 2014 and led by CEO A.J. Cahill, Webtext Digital Engagement provides an omnichannel solution for voice only contact centres that want to add support for Messaging (SMS/MMS, FB Messenger etc), Webchat, and Social channels. They serve customers from industries across the globe, with focus on financial services, insurance and healthcare.

SharpenCX provides unified contact center software that empowers agents to deliver engaging customer experiences with a configurable platform. For the company, this announcement follows investment funding in Sharpen from Teleo Capital in December 2022.
