Lavita AI Raises $5M in Seed Funding

Lavita AI

Lavita AI, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an AI+Web3 healthcare platform, raised $5M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Camford Capital and angel investors from blockchain and AI industries.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its AI-first platform and applications for patients, healthcare providers, and research institutions.

Led by Mitchell Liu, CEO, Lavita is a patient-driven platform for secure sharing of health data. Hosted on Theta Metachain and powered by advanced privacy-preserving computation and AI models, it provides the healthcare ecosystem with a decentralized data marketplace connecting providers, patients and data contributors, and research institutions. The platform, which empowers individuals to utilize their health data to earn LAVITA tokens built on the Theta TNT-20 protocol, will enable numerous applications within life science research, biopharma development, and healthcare innovation. For example, individuals and patients can use the platform to dynamically identify and match with ongoing clinical trials globally, including those that historically are costly to recruit for, such as pivotal clinical studies, or clinical trials for rare/orphan diseases. Life science researchers can use it to convene data cohorts for conducting large-scale population studies such as genome-wide and phenome-wide association studies. Biopharma companies can utilize the solution to securely share data across multiple parties for applications in drug discovery or development partnerships. Health institutions will be able to partner on the platform to train and fine-tune their own large language models (LLMs) for their domain-specific use cases such as medical imaging and clinical records.
