Barkibu, a Cambre, Spain-based pet health insurance startup, raised €4.5m in funding.
The round was led by Kfund, with participation from Mundi Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts to increase its offerings.
Led by Álvaro Gutierrez, and Pablo Pazos Rey, Barkibu combines pet insurance, telehealth, and AI, to deliver personalized veterinary care all over the world. The startup’s app allows clients to request vets (via chat, phone, or email) for advice, as well as an AI-powered vet solution.
