Altris, a Uppsala, Sweden-based sodium-ion battery developer, raised €4.8M in Bridge funding.
Backers included unnamed current investors and employees.
The company intends to use the funds to complete its industrial grade battery manufacturing at a new facility in Uppsala, Sweden.
Led by Björn Mårlid, CEO, and Christer Bergquist, CFO, Altris develops cathodes, electrolytes, battery cells and blueprints to create sodium-ion batteries. Sprung out of the Ångström Laboratory at Uppsala University, the company is taking its patented innovation from conception to commersialisation.
