Seatfrog, a London, UK-based provider of a rail ticketing app, raised £6m in growth funding.
Backers included Pembroke, Praetura and Octopus Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach across Europe.
Led by CEO Iain Griffin, Seatfrog is a platform for customers to buy tickets, upgrade to first-class and switch trains. Launched in 2018, the company helps operators run profitable networks, increasing revenue at the same time. To date, it has secured exclusive partnerships with sixteen major train operators covering over 3bn journeys across the UK and Europe.
The app is available to download on both Apple and Android devices.
