Honeycomb Raises $50M in Series D Funding

Honeycomb, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of observability platform used by high-performing engineering teams to investigate the behavior of cloud applications, raised $50M in Series D funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $150M, was led by Headline with participation from other investors including Insight Partners and Scale Venture Partners. In addition, Kelly Watkins, former VP of Global Marketing at Slack and CEO of Abstract, has joined the Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its expansion across geographies, its contributions and support for OpenTelemetry, and efforts toward building a cohesive integration strategy across the entire software development ecosystem.

Led by CEO Christine Yen, Honeycomb provides an observability platform for engineering teams to quickly understand what their code does in the hands of real users in unpredictable and complex cloud environments.

HelloFresh, Stripe, Slack, Fender, Vanguard,  LaunchDarkly, and many more use Honeycomb for fast incident response, performance optimization, and safely accelerating release cycles.
