Citra, a Cape Town, South Africa-based design, construction, and property development company, raised USD20M in funding.
The backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its commercial expansion into the United States.
Led by Founder and CEO Joel Baur, Citra is a design, construction, and property development company whose designs are tailored to the production process, minimizing waste, and manufactured with high-precision CNC machines. The company has already secured land for 4,000 residential units in South Africa and has built over 100 homes to date. Citra has sold over 200 homes and has approximately 150 under construction currently.
