APK, a Merseburg, Germany-based plastic recycling specialist, raised €130M in funding.
Backers included MIG capital, chemical company LyondellBasell and KIRKBI A/S, the family office of Kirk Kristiansen.
The company intends to use the funds to build two new factories.
Led by CEO APK provides Newcycling, a patented method to process plastic waste such as multi-layer packaging materials into low density polyethylene (LDPE) recyclates. The plant, located in Merseburg, has been operating for several years.
