Deltek, a Herndon, VA-based provider of software and solutions for project-based businesses, acquired TIP Technologies, a Waukesha, WI-based provider of execution solutions for the regulated aerospace and defense (A&D) and government contracting industry.
The amount of the deal – announced on Thursday, July 14 – was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Deltek will add quality management system (QMS) and manufacturing execution system (MES) capabilities to its portfolio of ERP and manufacturing solutions for government contractors, aerospace & defense (A&D) and Engineer to Order (E2O) firms. With the combination of Deltek + TIP Technologies, the company will provide comprehensive solutions for government contractors and in particular, aerospace & defense and engineer to order firms.
Led by CEO Mike Miller, TIP Technologies provides integrated quality assurance software using a commercial, off-the-shelf strategy. Its software is used by some of the world’s largest corporations.
