Power, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a patient-friendly platform designed to improve access to clinical trial studies, raised $7M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Footwork and CRV, with participation from ARTIS Ventures, South Park Commons, and AirAngels.

The company intends to use the funds to expand patient access and increase diversity in clinical trials.

Power aims to make clinical trials easy to navigate for patients. The platform leverages proprietary AI to simplify medical jargon in the trials’ descriptions into accessible, accurate content. It also connects patients with researchers for follow-up questions about the clinical trials to determine suitable potential cohorts.

Power includes over 30,000 clinical trials and 100,000 researchers spanning 10,000 medical conditions, and the company is on track to have more than 500,000 patients use the platform this year.
