Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. (NASDAQ:TNDM), a San Diego, CA-based global insulin delivery and diabetes technology company, acquired Capillary Biomedical, an Irvine, CA-based developer of technologies for diabetes and infusion set.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Tandem Diabetes Care will look forward to developing infusion set solutions that are designed to extend wear time and enhance user experience, while reducing occlusions, body burden and waste.
Led by John Sheridan, president and chief executive officer, Tandem Diabetes Care is an insulin delivery and diabetes technology company which delivers innovative products and services for people who use insulin. It manufactures and sells the t:slim X2 insulin pump with Control-IQ technology.
Capillary Biomedical’s extended wear infusion set technology is currently in development and not commercially available.
