PennyWorks, a Hoboken, NJ-based provider of a DeFi-based platform that creates a safe and stable experience, raised $2M in Pre-Seed funding.
The round was led by Hi2 Global with participation from Zachary Harl, former Chief Investment Officer at Bank of America, Putra Manggala, former Staff Data Scientist at Shopify and Leo Mizuhara, Head of Systematic Trading; Fixed Income Options at DRW Holdings, LLC..
The company intends to use the funds to bring the platform to market, as well as to expand platform development, marketing, and operations efforts.
Led by CEO Ivan Zhang, PennyWorks is a DeFi-based investing platform that innovate traditional financial products through reliable digital asset strategies. The company launched in April offering accredited investors the ability to invest in opportunities with up to 8% APY, 114x the national saving average of .06%.
