Cipher Sports Technology Group, a Melbourne, Australia-based sports betting startup, closed a $5m Series A funding round.

The round was led by Cygnet Capital, with participation from high net-worth individuals.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth into the legal US sports betting market.
