Legion Health, an Austin, TX-based healthcare technology startup, raised $2M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Erica Johnson, Ravi Shah, Jeffrey Leerink, Jay Desai, Y Combinator, UpHonest Capital, and Soma Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to create its B2B mental health marketplace.
Led by CEO Yash Patel, President Arthur MacWaters, and COO Daniel Wilson, Legion Health provides a marketplace dedicated to solving America’s mental health crisis by connecting mental health professionals to the organizations that need them. Telehealth companies, hospitals, and other health care organizations use the virtual network to serve the demand they face for psychiatric and therapeutic services. At the same time, the company offers clinicians flexibility, extra work, and access to the best companies in the space.
Currently, Legion Health’s platform has over 800 mental health professionals in all 50 states. The company is rapidly evolving and serving its many clients, which are mostly tech-enabled health care organizations.
