IsoTruss Closes $4.5M Series A Funding Round

IsoTruss

IsoTruss, a Springville, UT-based engineering, design, and manufacturing services provider, raised $4.5M in Series A funding.

The Series A round, led by the S.G. Koenig Trust, follows a $3m seed round led by the Sojitz Corporation of Japan in October 2020.

The company intends to use the funds to scale up operations and accelerate production of patented IsoTruss® carbon fiber cell towers in support of 5G rollout by telecom infrastructure providers.

Led by CEO Nathan D. Rich, and COO Cromwell Wong, IsoTruss is an engineering, design, and manufacturing services provider, which produces patented IsoTruss® lattice cell towers for the telecommunications industry. The cell towers, fabricated with composite material, are corrosion-resistant, sustainable, eco-friendly, and lightweight.

The company is targeting industries including telecom infrastructure, aerospace, civil infrastructure, energy, and construction for further growth utilizing IsoTruss® Technologies, its family of patented, composite material grid structures.

In Spring 2022, the company will open its second manufacturing facility, in Pampanga, Philippines, to further ramp up production of its towers, which are suited to hurricane/typhoon-prone regions. The new facility will allow the enterprise to meet demand for 5G in the Philippines and other countries located in Southeast Asia.
