Brunt Workwear, a Boston, MA-based work boot and apparel brand, raised $20M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Stripes, with participation from On Running, Reformation, Erewhon, Califia Farms, TF Cornerstone, Suffolk Technologies, and Bolt.

The company intends to use the funds to increase inventory, grow the team, invest in additional product development, and expand retail channels beyond the digital storefront.

Led by CEO Eric Girouard, Brunt is a modern work boot and apparel brand designed for today’s construction workers and tradespeople. Its mission is to serve the population of more than 17 million workers in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair industries in the United States alone.

In 2021, six months after launch, the brand added clothing and accessories to its assortment to complement its collection of work boots with work jackets and additional pant styles.

Prior to launching Brunt, Girouard spent more than a decade working in the e-commerce and direct-to-consumer space at startups including Rue La La, M.Gemi, and Trade Coffee.
