Swell Commerce Raises $20M in Series A Funding

Swell Commerce, a San Francisco CA-based headless commerce platform serving fast growing businesses, raised $20M in Series A funding.

The round was led by VMG Catalyst and Headline with participation from Bonfire Ventures, Willow Growth,Ā Brian LongĀ (CEO of Attentive),Ā Romain LapeyreĀ (CEO of Gorgias) andĀ Andreas Klinger. In conjunction with the funding, Carle Stenmark, partner at VMG Catalyst, will join the Board of Directors while Kevin McKeandĀ will join as Chief Commercial Officer.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate adoption of its platform and to develop an ecosystem of apps, themes, integrations and merchant solutions, as well as to hire people across key areas, including product, engineering, design, support, sales and marketing.

Led by CEOĀ Eric Ingram, Swell is a commerce platform giving developers, agencies, and merchants around the world the tools and infrastructure needed to sell the way they want. Its native features, such as subscription management and localization, enable use cases without requiring custom development.
