Flourish, an Austin, TX-based female-focused nutrition and health platform, raised more than $1m in pre-seed funding.
The round was led by True Wealth Ventures, with participation from Jesse Draper’s Halogen VC and angel investor Monique Nolk-Yates.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and launch its platform.
Led by CEO Claire Siegel, a registered dietitian turned product manager, Flourish aims to help women break the diet cycle and sustain healthy habits. Flourish membership includes access to credentialed nutrition and psychology experts, weekly group coaching, community support and educational modules on topics such as blood sugar management and body image. Its weight-inclusive approach is associated with improvements in physiological measures (for example, blood pressure, blood lipids), health behaviors (for example, eating and activity habits), and psycho-social outcomes (such as self-esteem and body image).
Currently invite-only, Flourish will be available to the public in January 2022.
