DataQube Global Ltd, a Cambridge, UK-based developer of a standalone edge data centre module, raised €26m in Series A funding.
RGreen Invest, an independent French investment management company, made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the commercialization of its modular edge data centre.
Led by David Keegan, CEO, DataQube Global has developed an innovative and scalable edge data centre system that can be deployed internally or externally within a six-month timeframe and less cost than conventional systems. Its lightweight structure and sterile operational environment facilitate deployment in a wide range of internal and external locations at the edge of the network where the installation of traditional infrastructures is neither feasible nor financially viable.
