Dispelix, a San Francisco, CA-based AR waveguide company, raised $33M in Series B funding.
The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $50m, was led by Atlantic Bridge, CCB Trust and Flashpoint with participation from Lifeline Ventures, VTT Ventures, Finnish Industry Investment and 3M Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as to continue to develop its platform.
Led by Antti Sunnari, CEO, and Juuso Olkkonen, CTO, Dispelix designs and manufactures diffractive single layer, full color waveguide displays. Its patented DPX waveguides give freedoms in AR design with image quality, performance and efficiency. The company’s offerings, with 43 granted or pending patent families currently being integrated into an increasing number of consumer products under development by OEM customers, are expected to hit the market during 2023.
Dispelix is located in Finland, China, Taiwan with US headquarters in San Francisco.
