Unacast, a NYC-based international location data company, closed a $16m funding round.
The round was led by Camber Creek, with participation from existing investors White Star Capital and Investinor.
The proceeds will be used to evolve Unacast’s offering for international clients outside the US and deepen its commitment to transparency and data privacy. It will also be used to build an enhanced data buying experience.
Led by Thomas Walle, Co-founder, and CEO, Unacast is a human mobility data company committed to understanding how people move around on the planet. Data-driven real estate professionals, retailers, researchers, analysts, and data scientists use it for accurate understanding of human activity in the physical world.
The company also announced that has formed partnerships with both Bloomberg and Sensormatic to help take its solutions to new clients. More information on those partnerships will follow.
