Kansas City Based Flyover Capital Closes Fund II, at $60M

Flyover Capital Partners, LLC, an Overland Park, Kan.-based venture capital firm focused on investing in early-stage technology companies, closed Flyover Capital Tech Fund II and Flyover Capital Tech Fund II-QP (collectively, Fund II) with over $60m in capital commitments.

The fund, which received support from a diverse base of new and existing family offices and institutional investors, brings Flyover Capital’s total assets under management to approximately $110m.

The vehicle will make initial investments at the seed and post-seed stages, targeting initial equity investments between $0.5 million to $2 million in rounds between $1 and $5 million. The investment team, led by newly promoted Partner Dan Kerr, is evaluating opportunities focused on B2B and enterprise software that complements the region’s natural and industrial strengths. The firm focuses on investing in verticals such as fintech, insurtech, proptech, agtech, logistics, transportation, supply chain, and data security.

Co-founded by Managing Partners Thad Langford and Keith Molzer, Flyover Capital partners with entrepreneurs, corporations, universities, and venture capital firms who are transforming the heartland’s largest industries through technology. The firm has partnered with Montage Investments, an operationally oriented investment firm specializing in alternative investments.

Since its inception in 2014, the firm has partnered with 20 technology companies.
