500 Startups, a global venture capital firm, closed a $140M global flagship fund and rebranded as 500 Global.
Led by Christine Tsai, CEO and Founding Partner, 500 Global will continue to invest at the accelerator and seed stage as well as the later stages of a company’s growth. The firm has already begun to write larger investments into companies, leading or co-leading fundraising rounds, as well as offering later stage co-investment opportunities to limited partners.
500 Global has backed over 6,000 founders representing more than 2,500 companies operating in77 countries. The portfolio includes 33 companies valued at more than $1 billion and 120 companies valued at over $100 million, including Talkdesk, Canva, Bukalapak, Grab, Shippo, and more.
The latest fund brings the firm’s assets under management to $1.8 Billion.
