Peanut Launches StartHER

Peanut, a NYC-based social network to connect women throughout all stages of motherhood, has launched its microfund.

With StartHER, Peanut will invest in early-stage, pre-seed businesses with the goal of increasing access to initial funding. The program focuses on women and underrepresented founders of all ages, life stages, ethnicities and sexual orientations who strive to make a positive impact on society, healthcare or the environment

Founders can apply for StartHER by submitting their application via Peanut’s website. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis and will have the opportunity to pitch an investment committee including:

  • Michelle Kennedy, founder & CEO of Peanut;
  • Bérénice Magistretti, Femtech journalist and angel investor;
  • Anu Duggal: Founding Partner of Female Founders Fund;
  • Vanessa Kingori MBE, Chief Business Officer, Conde Nast Britain;
  • Shilpa Yarlagadda, Founder of Shiffon Co. and Startup Girl Foundation;
  • Elizabeth Uviebinene, Author, Columnist and Brand Strategist.
