Lucata Raises $11.9M in Series B Funding

Lucata, a US graph analytics platform provider, raised $11.9M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Notre Dame with participation from Middleburg Capital Development, Blu Ventures, Hunt Holdings, Maulick Capital, SGI and Varian Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth, expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Michael Mallick, Lucata provides a new computer architecture that enables organizations to accelerate and scale graph analytics. The company leverages patented migrating thread technology to massively scale unified memory and conduct high performance, multi-hop analytics, including breadth-first search (BFS), on unpruned and unsharded databases with 1 trillion vertices and beyond. The solution can be used with today’s graph database software or custom-written graph solutions, enabling organizations to use their existing software to uncover deeper connections within much larger graphs and address challenges in fraud detection, cybersecurity, blockchain, risk assessment, healthcare and many other fields.

The company has offices in Palo Alto, New York City, and South Bend, Ind.
