Orbion Space Technology Raises $20M in Series B Funding

Orbion Space Technology, a Houghton, MI-based developer of smallsat electric propulsion solutions, raised $20M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Inventus Capital Partners, with participation from Material Impact, Beringea, and Wakestream Ventures. 

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Brad King, Founder and CEO, Orbion Space Technology develops propulsion systems that allow small satellites to achieve more in space environments, including Hall-effect plasma thruster designed expressly for mass production. Orbion designs and develops these systems and innovates novel techniques and processes for mass-manufacture to meet the demand of new space customers.

Recent notable contracts include the Department of Defense and Blue Canyon.
