Unagi Scooters Raises $10.5M in Series A Funding

-

Unagi Scooters, an Oakland-based electric scooter manufacturer, raised $10.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by The Ecosystem Integrity Fund with participation from Menlo Ventures, Broadway Angels, and Gaingels, among others.

The company intends to use the funds for the continued expansion of its All-Access service, the team and manufacturing capacity.

Unagi Scooters makes e-scooters and provides an e-scooter subscription service in several cities including NYC, Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, Nashville, Phoenix, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.

With All-Access, the company’s customers pay a flat $49 monthly fee that includes maintenance and insurance for scooter theft or damage. Once they subscribe, they will deliver its Model One scooter to home via FedEx within 72 hours.
