Curtsy Raises $11M in Series A Funding

Curtsy, a San Francisco, CA-based app that lets women buy and sell clothing, shoes, and accessories from their phones, raised $11m in Series A funding.

The funding was led by Index Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to to scale, build out the team, and continue to gain market share.

Founded by David Oates, William Ault, Clara Agnes Ault, and Eli Allen, Curtsy is an app that lets women buy and sell clothing, shoes, and accessories from their phones. The app uses machine learning and human review to help sellers merchandise their items and provides sellers with a Shipping Kit to remove the friction from order fulfillment.

The company participated in Y Combinator and has raised $14.5m to date.
