WeSchool, a Milan, Italy-based provider of a school management platform, raised €6.4M in funding.
Backers included P101, lead investor via P102 and Italia 500 – Gruppo Azimut, TIM Ventures, CDP Venture Capital Sgr, Club Digitale e Club Italia Investimenti 2.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded in 2016 and led by Marco De Rossi, founder and CEO, WeSchool provides teachers with a digital classroom platform to share documents and video, do exercises, discuss with students and enable group works, tests and new methods such as the teach-to-learn one. During the lockdown period, the platform enabled over 1m users to continue to have lessons via smartphone or PC. The Board of Dierectos of WeSchool includes: Marco De Rossi (CEO), Andrea Laudadio (President) for TIM, as well as Andrea Di Camillo (P101), Anna Paola Concia and Salvo Mizzi.
