HKW Hires Daniel Kim As Partner

HKW, an Indianapolis-based middle-market private equity firm, hired Daniel Kim as Partner.

Mr. Kim was co-founder and former partner at Bregal Sagemount, a New York-based growth capital investment firm. He will join Jeff Bistrong, hired by HKW in April, to spearhead HKW’s expanding focus in the technology sector.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Kim has built an extensive track record investing in high-growth technology companies. Prior to Bregal Sagemount, Mr. Kim held roles within Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s Americas Special Situations Group, where he led investments in the technology sector. He also previously worked as an investment professional at JMI Equity, sourcing and executing investments in the software, internet, and business services sectors.

Mr. Kim, based in HKW’s New York office, received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA in Music, Phi Beta Kappa, from Stanford University.

Led by Ted Kramer, President & CEO, HKW is a middle-market private equity firm investing in companies with talented management teams in the US and Canada. The firm targets companies in the Business Services, Health & Wellness, and Technology sectors.
