Spike, a San Francisco, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel-based conversational work ecosystem provider, raised $8m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Insight Partners with participation from previous investors Wix, NFX and Koa Labs. Insight Partners Vice President Daniel Aronovitz will join Spike’s Board of Directors as part of the deal.
The company, which has raised a total of nearly $16m to date, intends to use the funds to continue to accelerate growth, add more collaborative tools and services to its platform and double the size of its team within the next year.
Led by Dvir Ben-Aroya, co-founder and CEO, Spike brings the entire workspace including email, chat, calendar, calls, team collaboration, and tasks to the inbox. With real-time conversations and live collaboration, the app allows interactions and a human communication experience. With built-in team chat, Groups can be used to facilitate collaboration and manage projects. Integrated file management and storage allows users to access and preview any file type without downloading. Spike works on top of your existing email and is available on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and web.
