Bright Health Raises $635M in Series D Funding

Bright Health , a Minneapolis-based diversified consumer-focused healthcare company, closed a $635M Series D funding round.

The round, which brought total funding raised since early 2016 to over a billion dollars, was led by NEA, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Cross Creek Advisors, Declaration Partners, Flare Capital Partners, Greenspring Associates, Meritech Capital, Redpoint Ventures and Town Hall Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to strategically expand across products, geographies and consumer bases.

Led by CEO Bob Sheehy and Mike Mikan, President and Vice Chairman, Bright Health is a diversified consumer-focused healthcare company, providing a broad range of benefits and services to consumers and care providers in local markets throughout the U.S. Its offerings include individual, family and Medicare Advantage plans, which are currently available in 22 markets across 12 states.
