Interface Fluidics Raises $4.5M in Series A Funding

Interface FluidicsInterface Fluidics Limited, a Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based nanotechnology company, raised $4.5M USD in Series A funding.

Equinor Technology Ventures (ETV) and Techstars co-lead the round.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its capacity to meet market demand.

Led by Stuart Kinnear, CEO, Interface is a laboratory service company with a nanotechnology platform for operators to optimize oil production by visualizing fluid-fluid interactions, through rapid chemical testing at reservoir temperature and pressure.
The solution, which leverages proven technology from the biomedical industry, microfluidics, adapted to the oil and gas sector, also provides operators with a suite of PVT measurements conducted under micro and nano confinement.

Interface Fluidics is a recent graduate from the first class of the Techstars Energy Accelerator, in partnership with Equinor, completing the Oslo-based program in December of 2018.
