Thalia Design Automation Raises $2M in Funding

thalia daThalia Design Automation, a Cwmbran, UK-based provider of analog / mixed signal design solutions for integrated circuit (IC) manufacturers and IP companies, raised $2m (£1.52m) in funding.

The round was led by Deepbridge Capital with participation from existing investor Development Bank of Wales (formerly Finance Wales).

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate development of its solutions and expand both commercial and engineering activities in the UK, USA and continental Europe.

Led by Rodger Sykes, Chairman and CEO, Thalia provides Re-use Platform-as-a-Service (RePaaS) solutions for analog IP re-use, design migration and portfolio extension. Its analog / mixed signal design solutions enable integrated circuit (IC) manufacturers and IP companies to maximize re-use of their existing product portfolio, to create new product variants, and to adapt their designs for manufacture using any semiconductor foundry service.
As part of its continuing expansion, Thalia plans to grow its technology development capabilities in the UK and India, as well as establishing a presence both in Continental Europe and the USA.

The company has facilities in Cwmbran UK, Hyderabad India, and Cologne, Germany.
