Fungible Closes $200M Series C Financing

fungibleFungible, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based data-centric computing company, closed a $200m Series C financing.

The round was led by the SoftBank Vision Fund with participation from Norwest Venture Partners and existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Deep Nishar, Senior Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers, will join Fungible’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product development and to ramp sales and marketing efforts.

Founded by Pradeep Sindhu and Bertrand Serlet, Fungible is reimagining the performance, reliability and economics of today’s data centers. The DPU is an entirely new category of programmable processor, complementary to existing processor categories, that will enable an order of magnitude improvement in the execution of data-centric workloads. The DPU can be deployed in data centers at all scales and geographies.

To date, the company has raised over $300 million in capital.
